Quality Assurance (QA). DiaLab Diamond and Gem forensic Laboratories specialise in Quality Assurance Test (QA) of diamonds, gems and mineral crystals reports. Our scientific laboratory is equipped with state of the art organic and inorganic testing equipment that can provide the most accurate results according to international standards and industrial requirements. The authentication process of diamonds and gems undergo a full “ Infrared Organic Fingerprinting Identification” (IOFA) processing module. The results are therefore fully auditable and comply with the highest standards of all forensic laboratories globally. We guarantee the best attention is given to your products. The utmost care is taken during the scrutiny and authentication process of your specimen. Today synthetic products far exceed the capacity of ordinary identification techniques and so the possibility of buying synthetic products such as a diamond or gem is very high. DiaLab Diamond and Gem Forensic Laboratories focuses on multi facets within the industry including Research and Development (R&D). DiaLab is the only CAMS certified “ Infrared Organic Fingerprinting Identification” (IOFI) testing facility for Diamonds, Gems and Mineral specimens in South Africa and we guarantee our results to be as accurate and objective as possible. When you import and export ,buy and sell, produce or manufacture , have your verification tested with DiaLab to ensure the QA (Quality Assurance) is met according to CAMS standards. DiaLab provides a services that no other laboratories can match. DiaLab is the only specialised diamond and gems “ Infrared Organic Fingerprinting Identification” (IOFI) “ Laboratory in Africa. In addition DiaLab is the official testing Laboratory for the CAMS –Regulator Certified Authenticated Mineral Specimen regulator certification Mark certification process in South Africa.
Infrared Organic Fingerprinting Identification” (IOFI) . The use of forensic science is now possible with gems and minerals. The capability of Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic imaging to provide detailed images of unprocessed latent fingerprints while also preserving important trace evidence is demonstrated. Data-processing methods are used to extract the latent fingerprint ridge pattern from the background material included basic infrared spectroscopic band intensities, addition and subtraction of band intensity measurements, principal components analysis (PCA) and calculation of second derivative band intensities, as well as combinations of these various techniques. Additionally, trace evidence within the fingerprint results can be recovered and identified. Most International federal and police Forensic laboratories use the same industrial standards and equipments used by DiaLab. The risk is exceedingly high when purchasing a mineral specimen such as a diamond or gem today without the proper Certification Mark. A key factor is that DiaLab focuses on public trust development programs and consumer sustainability. The goals are simple and clear: social responsibility together with ethical development. DiaLab is an initiative program to develop a safer and more reliable sales environment within the industry.
“ Use DiaLab for all your needs and services, the only official testing laboratory for CAMS-Regulator in South Africa”
Please Note that the commercial use of a Diamond and Gem organic Finger printing is globally protected under the provisional Patent no 2010/01096. The unlicensed commercial use of a Infrared Organic Fingerprinting Identification” (IOFI) processing module of DiaLab is prohibited by law and prosecutable under re private prosecutions act and the intellectual property rights of South Africa .
